Firefox Pwns IE in Europe

While Microsoft’s Internet Explorer is still leading over other browsers globally, Firefox won Europeans over and superseded Internet Explorer as the most popular web browser in Europe.

The open source browser took a 38.1 per cent market share across the continent last month, while Internet Explorer’s share slipped to 37.5 per cent.

Since the beginning of March 2010, Microsoft offered Europeans the option to choose from among 12 browsers on the more than 100million old and new PCs that use its Windows software.
