Time Machines

These, my friends, are not your ordinary everyday watches. In fact they’re not watches at all. They are horological machines by Maximilian Büsser & Friends. Okay fine, they are watches but they need to be called in a name that sounds as awesome as they look!

Horological Machines are as much, if not more, art and sculpture as they are micro-engineering: they are machines which tell the time rather than machines to tell the time.

By designing and constructing three-dimensional machines rather than wristwatches, MB&F are able to break free of the constraints imposed by traditional horology and create kinetic art.

MB&F is a creative label based around one very simple and fundamental ideal: to assemble dedicated Collectives of talented horological artisans, artists and professionals – all friends – to design and craft each year a radical and original horological masterpiece.

MB&F is above all a human adventure… a human adventure with just one goal: to create incredible horological machines.

Post inspired by John Benjamin, who thinks these machines are almost as beautiful as his girlfriend. Almost.
